A real estate investment firm that overlays technology to generate outsized returns
We are on a mission to increase returns on traditional real estate by adopting technology without taking additional venture capital risk.
In doing so, our downside is a quality real estate return. Our upside is increased alpha, both directly at the property level and indirectly at the venture / tech level—from a profits interest in the proptech companies. This strategy allows us to fill the capital gap between real estate and venture capital that currently limits mass adoption of otherwise viable proptech innovations that require real estate capital.
This thesis can be applied to all real estate, but the current opportunity is strongest for workforce housing.
Conventus combines the strengths of both real estate and technology sectors to:
Invest only in real estate
Benefit from upside of technology
No investment in tech operating companies
We increase risk-adjusted returns through technologies that:
Drive down costs
Increase revenue
Unlock new investment opportunities
